Motorcycle.com has one of their always excellent and thorough shootouts – this time looking at the new 600s from the Big Four manufacturers from the land of the rising sun.

Honestly, any one of these motorcycles would be more fun than a barrel of monkeys on the track (wait, would monkeys actually be fun on the racetrack?). Light, quick, smooth, and pretty to boot – that actually sounds disturbingly like my ideal woman… in any case, supersports have really become the perfect bike for many riders. Power isn’t as intimidating as a literbike, but they can literally scream when you get the revs up.

If you’re looking for a new 600 this year, there really isn’t a poor choice out there. But if you want to know what the crew at motorcycle.com thinks is tops, check out their racetrack comparo.
