I really like the way it looks.

I’d really like to find out how it rides. The guys over at Ultimate Motorcycling got a chance to, and seemed to really enjoy the experience. Check here for the write-up.

The new big Goose is the best Goose! So sayeth me… but I haven’t even ridden one yet. Seen a few around town. Read all about ‘em. Never ridden…

But something about this motorcycle just grabbed a hold of me the first time I saw it, and whatever it is just won’t let go. The Griso speaks to me in some kind of primal motorcycling language.

Obviously, this motorcycle is not for everyone. If the Japanese engineering perfection of a well-behaved supersport or superbike is what you consider riding heaven, I can totally understand that – but you might not like a Guzzi. This thing grunts, and at 500 pounds it won’t happily flick into every corner at the last moment.

Me, I’ll take a motorcycle with character like this big Goose. And you can check out the Sport Rider review for more info from someone who’s actually spent some time in the saddle of a Griso.

Ok, ok, the MotorcycleNewsGuy must admit he has a weakness for Moto Guzzis. There is just something so cool about the Italian marque, and having the cylinder heads mere inches from your knees provides a constant, roasting reminder that you are on a motorcycle, dammit.

That being said, I’m not too sure about the looks of this one. But, Moto Guzzi have said they are targeting the BMW GS with the Stelvio, and I feel solid in saying the Stelvio beats out that ugly puppy in the beauty department.

If you’re in the market for an adventure-tourer, you’ve finally got another serious bike to look at, so do yourself a favor and hit up motorcycle-usa’s Stelvio review.
