2009 Harley V-Rod Muscle

2009 Harley V-Rod Muscle

The MotorcycleNewsGuy has always liked the look of the V-Rod. From it’s first appearance, I thought the thing was an inspired design, even if traditional H-D fans haven’t felt the same way. In my opinion, the departure from typical Harley – in terms of both look and engine construction – was a necessary evolution if Harley wants to remain relevant in the coming decades.

I think the new iteration for 2009, known as the V-Rod Muscle, is a worthy bike and I would surely not mind being seen riding around town on one. With 85 ft-lbs of torque, peeling away from stoplights would be an adrenaline rush for sure.

I’m not so sure I’d want to take it along windy roads, though. Long wheelbase + 673 lbs =yikes!

About.com has a review of the V-Rod Muscle and if you’re in the market for a no-nonsense power cruiser with a liquid-cooled engine co-designed by Porsche, then hop on over and have a look at what they have to say.
